Inspections are conducted to ensure compliance
with the laws and regulations. The inspector will help you identify ways to correct
any problems discovered. During an inspection, the team member will issue
objections which must be corrected before final certificates are issued or the
job signed off.
Commercial eating and
drinking establishments and commercial retail properties qualify for NYC Business Acceleration construction inspections. Inspections for other commercial and
residential properties should be scheduled with the Department of Buildings
using contact information available here.
WHO MAY SUBMIT A REQUEST?
The owner, owner’s
representative or filing representative may request an inspection.
